We recently had Livingston Homes reno our basement including a workout room with sliding barndoors, wine bar, custom tv cabinet entertainment center, as well as adding built-in bookshelves in our living room entering into our sunroom. Livingston Homes is a top notch organization.  Their entire team (Ryan, Carie, Candice, Grant, etc) plays an integral part of the entire project and they were all willing to find answers when needed and help out when they could.  I am actually in the construction industry as well, specializing in exteriors only, and we were looking for someone who had high quality sub contractors, could manage a project well, and pay attention to multiple details (yes we're very picky).  Livingston match every aspect we expected and whenever we had questions they never avoided a question or a phone call.  Yes the building/remodeling process takes a while.  Their contractors showed up when they were supposed to.  Project manager (Grant) is well versed and actually very skilled craftsman himself which helps projects continue to move forward continually.  I've recommended them to many others, and if you're looking for high value and execution don't hesitate.

Livingston Homes built our cottage. My husband and I had bought an old cottage as a fixer upper. We soon discovered the old building was not structurally sound and could not withstand the changes we needed to make. We also realized we were no Chip and Joanna! So we worked with an architect (Bryan Wolffis, who I definitely recommend) and decided to build new from the ground up. We hired Livingston after visiting with several others. I could get long winded here but I’ll try to be brief. It has rarely ever been my experience to find a company that you can actually count on, that does what they say they will do, who comes at the time they stated and is courteous, polite and listens. We had several unusual circumstances at and during our project. Our project manager took care of everything, in a timely manner and with such compassion. We had a deadline to meet that was out of our control. They did everything possible to accomplish this for us. Due to covid and the suppliers delay I wasn’t going to have any countertops or usable sink for 8 weeks! Rob made sure I had temporary ones to use and took care of every little detail to make life comfortable for us during that time. I could list one thing after another that came up on a regular basis. Not with the construction or them but things that interrupted their work. They never missed a step. This company is kindhearted and a company of integrity. They are people you can trust. I’m not the kind of person that typically writes reviews. This company deserves a very positive review and hearty recommendation!

We had Ryan Livingston and his team build our home in 2016. My wife and I were young and unaware of how the process worked. At times we were frustrated with the process and lack of communication. We felt like things would be overlooked or just thrown together. However, looking back, Ryan was managing multiple projects and we were just one of them. It was hard for him or his team to catch every little detail. Where as we were building one home and had a lot more time to spare, time to knit pick, and look at everything. Overall our home turned out great and in the end Ryan fixed any issues we had. The whole building process is stressful in general but we’re happy with our home.

I recently had Livingston Homes build a shed to match my house and completely finish 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath and a large living area in my basement. They were excellent to work with. It was easy to get started and they did a great job getting my projects done with a high quality and attention to detail. They also worked really efficiently with scheduling so my projects were done within a couple months of signing. Livingston Homes helped us secure a gorgeous wooded lot that is just a couple of miles from Lake Michigan. They also worked with us to build a brand new, custom home that we loved (but could also afford). From the day we broke ground, I felt very confident in our decision to work with Livingston Homes. The job site was always immaculately clean. Ryan adhered to every construction code and township ordinance. Our construction budgets were clear and totally transparent from the very beginning, and there were no crazy surprises when we received the final bill for the house. Ryan’s kitchen designer also helped us lay out a gorgeous  open-concept kitchen that we love using every single day.
